You can't alter a page's viewstate with a instance variable  because it's protected. I hate the fact that if MS employees cannot think of a good reason why something should be public , they make it protected.  More context here .

Your blog is fine.  I just want to comment on the design.  Its too loud.  Its doing way too much and it takes away from what youve got to say --which I think is really important.  I dont know if you didnt think that your words could hold everyones attention, but you were wrong.

Good luck getting people behind this one.  Though you make some VERY fascinating points, youre going to have to do more than bring up a few things that may be different than what weve already heard.  What are trying to say here?  What do you want us to think?  It seems like you cant really get behind a unique thought.  Anyway, thats just my opinion.
